In this episode of, LivinRVision, we decided that the weather is getting warm enough to finally leave Florida and we make our way through Georgia before heading to South Carolina! We make a few stops along the way that you may want to check out. First, we stop at a beach along the Atlantic Ocean that you can drive your vehicle on, but recently was changed to “residents only”. Then we decide to check out a waterfront campground in case any of our viewers may want to take a look for future planning. Then we stop at the historic Fort Clinch that has some great history that we share.
We are planning a lot of boondocking along this long journey back to visit family and we just love how easy it is to dry camp in the Grech RV Strada-Ion (aka, Mini Vinny 2.0). Since we drive a LOT of highway miles, we decided to do a test to see how much it costs to run the engine at idle to charge the Lithium-ion batteries for 3 hours. (Note: This is something that we were told by the manufacturer that is okay to do for 2 or 3 hours since we drive a lot of hwy miles as well as the auto-regen that cleans the DPF and keeps the engine clean. Always do your own research though, as your situation may be different). We were pleasantly surprised how many gallons of diesel fuel it actually took. We hope you enjoy the show!
